Don't forget your outside taps!!

Did early winter catch you off guard?  It's not too late to drain and shut off your outside faucets!

Freezing and thawing can cause your faucet and/or water lines to crack and leak water inside your home causing damage.

Shut the water off at the inside shut off valve, undo drain cap. Disconnect your hose then turn tap on outside to drain. Even if you have a frost free hose bib you should still disconnect the hose.

Rain rain and more rain!

Lots of rain this weekend!  Your sump pump will get a good work out.  So you want to make sure it is working properly.   If you are able, lift the float to make sure it turns on and pumps and then shuts off when empty.

We always have a supply of sump pumps on hand for after-hours emergencies.

You may also want to consider a battery back-up and/or alarm for your sump pump.

Stay dry!

Spring is finally here!.  Time to turn your outside faucets back on.

Make sure to check for leaks.  Make sure your water lines have not cracked from winter freeze/thaw.

Hard water solution

This customer had very hard water so we installed a duplex system.

Now they will have soft water 100% of the time.

cold

Brrrrr!  Going to be cold this weekend.

Be on the lookout for burst or leaking pipes before they cause long term damage.

vacation

Going away on winter vacation?

Turn the water supply to your house off at the main valve.

Check ahead of time to make sure your valve is working.

If you're not sure where it is or it's not working, give us a call.

Also a good idea to have someone check on your house while you are away.
